The Care Certificate comprises 15 essential standards, as outlined by Skills for Health, that cover a wide spectrum of critical topics in healthcare. These standards are:

 Understand Your Role
 Your Personal Development
 Duty of Care

 Communication
 Privacy and Dignity
 Fluids and Nutrition
 Awareness of Mental Health
 Learning Disabilities
 Dementia
 Safeguarding Adults
 Safeguarding Children

 Health and Safety

To facilitate the achievement of these standards, our Care Certificate program is divided into three distinct courses:

1. Mandatory Refresher Training: This course ensures HCAs stay up-to-date with essential healthcare knowledge and practices.

2. Basic Nursing Skills 4 HCAs (1): This course covers patient-centered care, the 6Cs of nursing, and practical elements such as vital signs and blood glucose monitoring. 6Cs - Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage.

3. Basic Nursing Skills 4 HCAs (2): This course delves into maintaining hygiene for patients, monitoring fluid and nutrition intake, increasing awareness of mental health, learning disabilities, dementia, understanding vulnerable individuals, and manual handling, including practical sessions.

The resources we provide to candidates, such as booklets, are sourced from the Care Certificate Workbook available on the Skills Platform. Candidates are required to complete questions either during the sessions or as homework.

Here's how the program works: Within a span of 6 months, all the required standards must be successfully completed. Upon meeting these requirements, the Care Certificate will be automatically awarded. It's worth noting that the "Basic Nursing Skills 4 HCAs" course goes beyond the Care Certificate requirements to equip candidates with additional knowledge and skills for improved client care.
